If you have been visiting this forum, by now you know we are highlighting Caribbean foods for fun. So far we have covered Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Jamaica and Barbados. (Go back and check out each national dish highlighted on the forum.)
There are a lot of similarities in the various "National Dishes." We would love to hear your feedback as to why you think so many of the dishes are similar.

Really interesting seeing both the variety and similarity of foods available across the islands so far! It might also help to understand the history that has influenced the people and culture in each nation, and perhaps the cuisine is a reflection of this unusual blend of people, culture, and history.
We are capturing brief histories of all of the Caribbean islands in the Caribbean History Forum here, so explore this forum to discover each of the nations that have influenced the Caribbean that we know today🙂
